Use Stress to Accelerate Your Creativity Quotient
The word 'stress' is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as "a state of affair involving demand on physical or mental energy". A condition or circumstance (not always adverse), which can disturb the normal physical and mental health of an individual. In medical parlance 'stress' is defined as a perturbation of the body's homeostasis. This demand on mind-body occurs when it tries to cope with incessant changes in life. A 'stress' condition seems 'relative' in nature.
Aggravated stress conditions, psychologists say, lead to human health deterioration, but in moderation stress is normal and, in many cases, proves lethally useful. Stress today is often related with negative conditions, environment. Today, with the rapid diversification of human activity, we come face-to-face with numerous causes of stress and the symptoms of stress and depression.
Stress holds us up at one or the other juncture of life. For example women may remain perennially stressed about managing home, children, their professions, home budget, their children’s careers, relationships, acutely adverse conditions at workplace or strained relations at home with relatives or spouse. Men too remain sucked by physical as well as mental health problems, pressures at workplaces, meeting deadlines etc.
Each individual has his or her own specific stress management pedagogy. In some people, stress-induced adverse feelings and anxieties tend to persist and intensify. Learning to understand and master stress management techniques can help prevent the counter effects of this urban malaise.
In a challenging situation the brain prepares the body for defensive mechanism by releasing stress hormones, namely, cortisone and adrenaline. These hormones raise the blood pressure and the body prepares to react to the situation. With a concrete defensive action (fight response) the stress hormones in the blood get used up, entailing reduced stress effects and symptoms of anxiety.
When we fail to counter a stress situation (flight response) the hormones and chemicals remain unreleased in the blood stream for a long period of time. It results in stress related physical symptoms such as tense muscles, unfocused anxiety, dizziness and rapid heartbeats. We all encounter various stressors (causes of stress) in everyday life, which can accumulate, if not released. Subsequently, it compels the mind and body to be in an almost constant alarm-state in preparation to fight or flee. This state of accumulated stress can increase the risk of both acute and chronic psychosomatic illnesses and weaken the immune system of the human body.
Stress can cause headaches, irritable bowel syndrome, eating disorders, allergies, insomnia, backaches, frequent cold and fatigue to diseases such as hypertension, asthma, diabetes, heart ailments and even cancer.
Just about everybody — men, women, children and even fetuses — suffer from stress. Relationship demands, chronic health problems, pressure at workplaces, traffic snarls, meeting deadlines, growing-up tensions or a sudden bearish trend in the course can trigger stress conditions. People react to it in their own ways. In some people, stress-induced adverse feelings and anxieties tend to persist and intensify. Learning to understand and manage stress can prevent the counter effects of stress.
Methods of coping with stress are aplenty. The most significant or sensible way out is a change in lifestyle. Relaxation techniques such as meditation, physical exercises, listening to soothing music, deep breathing, various natural and alternative methods, personal growth techniques, visualization and massage are some of the most effective of the known non-invasive stress busters.
Psychologists endorse the opinion that some 'stress' situations can catalyse and accelerate our inner potential and can be creatively helpful.
That may explain why many special children and differently-abled individuals are 'star performers'. The creativity quotient in such subjects is very high. Mozart's musical compositions earned world acclaim and were applauded hugely, though the fact was: he didn't have 'listening faculty'. Also Milton, who had lost his vision had written a great epic: 'Paradise Lost' and numerous elegies.
Research suggests that stress can actually increase our performance. Instead of wilting under stress, one can use it as an impetus to achieve success. Stress can stimulate one's faculties to delve deep into and discover one's true potential. Under stress the brain is emotionally and biochemically stimulated to sharpen its performance. Hence it's too obvious that human resource people test future employee's stress quotient before hiring. It's more or less a trend now, since competition has scaled new heights, the market has nose-dived, and clients have become very choosy and thus Darwin's 'Survival of the Fittest' theory rules the roost.
Experts tell us that stress, in moderate doses, is necessary in our life. Stress responses are one of our body's best defense systems against outer and inner dangers. In a risky situation (in case of accidents or a sudden attack on life), the body releases stress hormones that instantly make us more alert and our senses become more focused. The body is also prepared to act with increased strength and speed in a pressure situation. It is supposed to keep us sharp and ready for action.
Stress is, perhaps, necessary to occasionally clear cobwebs from our thinking. If approached positively, stress can help us evolve as a person by letting go of unwanted thoughts and principle in our life. Very often, at various crossroads of life, stress may remind you of the transitory nature of your experiences, and may prod you to look for the true happiness of life.
From the viewpoint of microevolution, stress induction of transpositions is a powerful factor, generating new genetic variations in populations under stressful environmental conditions. Passing through a 'bottleneck', a population can rapidly and significantly alters its population norm and become the founder of new, evolved forms.
Gene transposition through Transposable Elements (TE)—'jumping genes', is a major source of genetic change, including the creation of novel genes, the alteration of gene expression in development, and the genesis of major genomic rearrangements.
In research on 'the significance of responses of the genome to challenges,' the Nobel Prize winning scientist Barbara McClintock, characterized these genetic phenomena as 'genomic shock'. This occurs due to recombinational events between TE insertions (high and low insertion polymorphism) and host genome. But, as a rule TEs remain immobilized until some stress factor (temperature, irradiation, DNA damage, the introduction of foreign chromatin, viruses, etc.) activates their elements.
The moral remains that we can work a stress condition to our advantage or protect ourselves from its untoward follow-throughs subject to how we handle a stress situation. The choice is between becoming a slave to the stressful situations of life or using them to our advantage.

Sign In To Your Success with GRAPHOLOGY - Part I
Our handwriting is the reflection of your attributes - personal, academic & amp; others. GRAPHOLOGY is a scientific study and analysis of handwriting, specially of his/her personality. It may open windows to numerous unexplored areas & is an exciting & beneficial key to unlocking a potential within you.
SLANTED writing A slant denotes the Writer's emotional direction & degree of emotional control. Generally a right-slanted writer leans towards the future, friendship, compliance and extroversion, while a left-slanted one leans back to the past and away from people, towards introversion & self, having more time and energy for creative pursuits.
SIZE OF script
The size of script projects our self-esteem and self-importance. It depicts the smallness or largeness of our thoughts and life experience.
SMALL SCRIPTS depicts that the person is meticulous and observant. Along with being modest, reserved and restrained, the person is mentally alert, resourceful, thrify and lacks self-confidence sometimes.
LARGE SCRIPTS depicts that the person is : Bold and aggressive. He/she is ambitious for name, fame and recognition. The subject in question always enthusiastic, boastful & extrovert, though may lack concentration & discipline. HE/she feels strongly motivated, directing others, is confident and optimistic.
MODERATE SCRIPTS shows that the writer is conservative, conventional & traditional. He/ she is practical and realistic. The thinking and attitude is moderate. Such people are honest, adaptable and sincere.
People writing TALL LETTERS are very ambitious, far-sighted and are great observers.. But they shall be warned that they lack modesty, consideration, tact & objectivity.
People, who prefer writing BROAD LETTERS are: very boastful, egoistic & proud. Though they are very frank & sociable, imaginative and artistic, but indiscretion, indiscipline and tactlessness are their forte. They remain largely self-assured, gregariously affable, spontaneous in response and broad-minded.
People using NARROW LETTERS, are very conservative, distrustful and suspicious. Their approach is always economic. They are self-controlled and moderate, shy and passive, largely inhibited, explicitly introvert, selective and critical.
Some people use VARIABLE script. Such people are driven by mood-swings, they are quick-tempered, conceited, indecisive and inconsistent. Their approach to life is generally - naive and immature. Their unpredictable behavioural patterns often put them in jeopardy; as they are emotionally off-balance and immature.
If writing style, word and sentence formation, gap between letters is changed, it may bring unbelievable improvement in people's career and even assist an individual in shaking off one's inhibitions and apprehensions.
Personality can be transformed substantially by getting handwriting analysis and signature design, which means changing handwriting and changing personality which is recognized as graphotherapy.
It is not a future predictive science at all. The writing patterns scribbled on the paper are the result of instructions laid by the brain to the hand to write. Two main parts of our body function in sync with each-other then - Brain and hand. When an individual is involved in the thinking process, there is a chemical process taking place in the brain, a chemical pathway is formed called a neuropathway. Now every time one writes, a neuropathway is created. Hence if one tries to alter its handwriting, it is actually altering its neuropathway, which works as a therapy towards altering one's handwriting based on demand and requirement.
The handwriting is worked upon stokes. A particular stroke, distance between letters, the size of script, the width of it - some of it is altered. A striking balance between personality projection required and writing pattern is achieved. Ultimately a desirable result is achieved.
The task though is not that easy as, prior to this a personality analysis is done. The various traits are recognized, hypothetically scrutinized and then targets are set. The whole process runs scientifically and needs proven proficiency in knowing Graphology. Ditto with Signatures - as the signatures are a blend of our projected image and real image, it carries with it, the aspirations and ambition of the subject or the individual. Few of the designs may not work aptly so again a change in design and formation of letter can be worked upon. This of course works wonderfully in taking one to realize its career potential and meet the set targets in life.

Brain Functioning In The Time Of Depression

There are many biological causes of clinical depression. 'Brain has been studied extensively to understand the chronology of brain function, the influence of neurotransmitters and hormones and other biological processes and also how central they are - to the development of depression.
The brain is a commander-in-chief of the human body. It controls the basic functions of our bodies, our movements, and our thoughts and emotions.
Researchers studying clinical depression tend to look at several aspects of brain function including the structures of the limbic system and the function of neurotransmitters within neurons.
’Limbic System’ is the area of the brain that governs activities such as emotions, physical and sexual drives, and the stress response. It's activities are significantly complex and any irregularity in any part of it, including how neurotransmitters function, could take a toll on an individual's mood and behavior.
'Hypothalamus' is a small structure located at the base of the brain, responsible for body temperature, sleep, appetite, sexual drive, stress reaction, and the regulation of other activities. It also controls the function of the pituitary gland which in turn regulates key hormones.
Neurotransmitters and Neurons: They are special chemicals called neurotransmitters carrying out many very important functions, like: helping transfer messages throughout structures of the brain's nerve cells. These nerve cells, called neurons.
Neurotransmitters have been found to be associated with clinical depression. They function within structures of the brain that regulate emotions, reactions to stress and the physical drives of sleep, appetite, and sexuality.
Theories about how neurotransmitters may be related to a person's mood have been based upon the effects that antidepressant medications can have relieving depression in some people. It is believed that these medications are effective because they regulate the amount of specific neurotransmitters in the brain.
However, whether that neurotransmitters play central role in the development or treatment of clinical depression is ambiguous. For instance, it has been shown that many people who are depressed have low levels of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine. The use of some antidepressants can increase the level of norepinephrine in the brain, and subsequently relieve depressive symptoms. One the other hand, it has also been shown that some other people who are depressed have high levels of norepinephrine. This same scenario may be true for other neurotransmitters.
The reason why the effects of neurotransmitters are not clear-cut has to do with the fact that antidepressant medications do not work in the same pattern for every individual. If there were a direct causal link between the level of a neurotransmitter in the brain and depression, then we would expect a much higher rate of success with medication. Further, although antidepressant medications can change the level of a neurotransmitter in the brain immediately, it normally takes a few weeks for a person with depression to feel better.
The effects of neurotransmitters is very difficult to study as they are present in very small quantities and are only available in certain locations within the brain, and they disappear very quickly once they are used. Because they are removed so fast, they cannot be measure directly. Researchers can only measure what is left over after their use in the brain. The substances that remain are called metabolites and they can be found in blood, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid. By measuring these metabolites, researchers can gain an understanding of the effects of changes in neurotransmitters in the brain.
It is unknown whether changes in levels of neurotransmitters cause the development of depression or depression causes changes in neurotransmitters. It may happen both ways.
Researchers believe that our behavior can alter our brain chemistry and that brain chemistry can affect behavior. For instance, if a person experiences numerous stressors or traumas this may cause his or her brain chemistry to be affected, leading to clinical depression. On the other hand, that same person may learn how to change depressed thoughts and behavior and cope with . Doing this may also change brain chemistry and relieve depression.

How men communicate conscientiouslly, mentally & physically?

Hey ladies! are you the one for whom the attraction starts working at the onset? A constant communication with HIM graduates to 'A Strong Emotional Attachment'.Your insecurities 'speak' themselves in various forms - frantic phone calls to HIM because not knowing exactly well whether he also shares the same emotions?
For a 'MAN', relations building process is not spontaneous or instantaneous. The two genders possess helluvian different approaches towards 'love'.
He may share same wavelength with you, may move to the width & depth of the issues, but it's nothing more than 'friendship'. HE may strike a chord with you immediately, may disclose some sooooooooo very secret issues, may ask you to lend your patient ears for his miseries, but........
He is affable, affectionate & is in agreeable relationship with you, but NOT COMMITTED!
You may move ahead to demonstrating your emotions to him, registering a passionate feeling for him publicly, but such things scarecely come from Him! he pushes you to the wall, the more emotionally demanding you become of him, the farther he moves. Things aggravate & poor aggrieved lady; with emotional baggage moves agog.
The million rupee question is - 'When & how men connect to you - emotionally, conscientiously, mentally & physically?' Why doesn't he feel intensly attached with the opposite sex?
Of course! men belong to different planet, their reactions are different. They aren't apologetic about 'not wearing their emotions up their sleeves'. They approach love, affiliations, affections with a variance; have an apparently no-frill approach to LOVE.
Women on the contrary, have 'emotions' embeded indispensibly, in their communication techniques. Also have less know how of 'How to communicate with men discriminately'.
Just because we WANT to communicate something to others, doesn't necessarily mean
that it's going to be perceived the same way, because effective communication (me being a Professor in communication is a great help ha! ha!) depends upon the response you get from the targetted audience, who again has varied moods, perceptions, mental filterations, sociological, pyschological, language barriers and most importantly: past experience drive them.
As human beings we develop certain "strategies" for dealing with fearful situations where REJECTION is a big risk. The same goes for the strategies for attracting the opposite sex. Women develop certain strategies that they THINK are going to work to get the man's interest and attention. May be getting gifts, helping out solving the problem or pulling him out of tension, but they remain ultimately of no avail.
Women think that they need to communicate verbally when they like a man... as if that's part of the necessary process of getting a guy and believe me men get communication diarrhoea.
Men know when they are getting "vibes" that a woman is sending positive vibes to them. And for the most part, they feel it's harmless and maybe even mildly flattering. But when a woman starts PURSUING him passionately and start talking about how she feels, he starts building up an 'invisible boundary' and creates NEGATIVE TENSION.
Men; strangely enough, can often be physically intimate with a woman and not even be THINKING about nurturing "serious relationship" at all. He may not really feel any pull towards the lady or any
emotional attraction for her. He might choose to abandon any contacts with her and adopt seclusion, upon serious and committed pursuation from woman's side.
It calls for applying ample research tools and methodologies to know as to why men should not revert back to a woman, who has been doing all kinds of favours to him, complying with all his physical and emotional needs and at the top of it - being physically very intimate and affectionate with him?
The answer to this question may spring up many surprises! Women when communicate their emotions, expressions crystal clear on a platter sans inhibition of any kind - they seemingly are in no possession of any 'Emotional BARGAINING POWER', as when a woman talks more with words and actions than men and in the whole process, loses her 'impact'. The repeated requests for consolidation of 'relation', bring to the surface - the unsuccessfully hindered 'Fears and Weaknesses'. Her desperation for love and recognition brings a drastic and ever so unfathomable, end to a relation. She is then recognized and registered as a 'lesser Mortal', 'Lower sex'.
A Woman shall be in possession of a positive mindset, attitude with recognizable self-esteem. When all is at it's place, the self-assured woman is given due recognition and she is recognized as an 'assertve': a beachcomber and It tells him that this is a woman who is self-assured and knows what she wants and how to get it. A man then feels compellingly gravitationed towards her and counts her as one; who is worthy of his valuable time and attention.
In other words, these are the "attitudes" a woman projects which make he irresistible to a man. It's what a woman is saying without actually saying it at all. She says it with her body language, with the way she carries herself and
the way she behaves inside a relationship.
